Sustainability for our home and beyond

As a logistics company, we not only have a transport mandate, but also a responsibility. After all, climate change, energy costs and environmental pollution are issues that are increasingly affecting us and our industry. This is why sustainability plays a central role in our decisions. With regular investments, we ensure that we keep our ecological footprint as small as possible - across all areas of the company.

Our measures at a glance:

Energy supply

For the operation of our site in Röhrnbach, we rely entirely on climate-neutral ‘green’ electricity - which we generate ourselves to a large extent.

Our large-scale photovoltaic systems with an output of 240 KW and two of our own combined heat and power plants (CHP), each with 100 KW, which run on both biogas and hydrogen, cover a significant part of our daily energy requirements.

Water supply

Our water supply is up to 90 percent self-sufficient. Thanks to state-of-the-art water treatment, we utilise the purified waste water from the washing systems as process water on the company premises - thus reducing environmental pollution and water consumption.

Vehicle fleet

Our fleet is state of the art. All our vehicles are EURO 6-compliant and fulfil the strictest environmental and safety standards. High-quality tyres further reduce emissions, from fuel and abrasion to noise pollution.

Environmental equalisation and biodiversity

We are also committed to acting sustainably in ecological terms. In order to carefully compensate for the sealing of green areas through concrete construction, we created extensive compensation areas during the construction of our site, which strengthens the regional flora and biodiversity:

  • over 2,000 indigenous trees were planted,
  • more than 2.5 hectares of extensive meadows and orchards were created and  
  • special lighting systems were installed to protect sensitive animal species.  

More than just environmental protection: ASB as a sustainable employer

We are not only responsible as a logistics company, but also as an employer. Our vision of sustainability and efficiency therefore also plays a major role for our employees.

Regular training courses

Our drivers receive regular ECO in-house training to promote an environmentally conscious way of working and driving.

We are almost completely digitalised and work paperless wherever possible - from document creation to the order folders in the workshop.
